The Washington Capitals return home and look to close out the series against the Montreal Canadiens. Washington secured a win in Game 4 and will want to take care of business in front of their fans. They came out and took control of the game, but momentum shifted when Tom Wilson laid a massive hit on Alex Carrier. Samuel Montembeault will not play tonight, and his status for the remainder of the series is in question. Despite all this, it’s the Canadiens we will be tailing.

One can argue that they deserved more in the first two games. They came close on many occasions but just couldn’t get the bounces. They also outshot Washington on home ice, so they can generate scoring chances. Jakub Dobes didn’t have a great game on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get the job done. If he can get back to the quality of hockey he was playing when he first got called up, then the Habs are in a good position to win this game and force a return flight to La Belle Province. This game will be close, and chances will be scarce. The Canadiens have another level they can hit, and now would be a good time to get there.
