Flyers vs Capitals Pickswise Expert Predictions

Money Line 3-Way Pick
WAS Capitals Win(+100)

The Philadelphia Flyers are traveling to Washington to face the Capitals for the second time this season. After a couple of weeks off to celebrate the Olympics, NHL hockey is resuming, and many teams are competing for playoff spots. The Flyers are only four points behind their division rivals, making this a crucial game for both teams.

While the extended break may lead to some initial rustiness in play, things should settle down as the game progresses. The Flyers are generally a low-event team, generating few shots on goal while also allowing few scoring chances. Their offensive struggles become more evident, particularly if they fall behind early in the game.

Conversely, Washington has players capable of scoring, but its offense has been inconsistent at times this year. Logan Thompson is expected to start in goal and should be relatively rested, having played only one game for his country. A high-scoring game is unlikely, but given that the Capitals are the better overall team, we expect them to win in regulation.
