The Penguins and Devils are both off to great starts to the season. In this game between a couple of hot teams, this one looks a bit better for the Devils. New Jersey has won 10 out of their last 13 games including all 6 played at home. The Devils have also had the edge head to head lately as New Jersey has won 9 out of the last 12 games played against Pittsburgh. 

As mentioned, the Penguins have been great out of the gates. If there is any nitpicking, their last 3 wins have come against struggling teams. Pittsburgh is 3-2-2 in their last 7 games, with the wins being against St. Louis, Minnesota, and Washington. Against higher quality teams, or at least teams in better form, Pittsburgh has come up a little bit short. The Devils just plain look to be a bit of a better team in a bit better form. Especially at home.
