Now they have to travel to Denver, where no team has been able to get past them in regulation. San Jose has been better of late, mainly their goaltending, but they don’t have the depth or talent to keep up.

Some teams are either elite offensively or defensively, so it seems unfair when a team is both. Colorado can fill the net with ease, and they will fire a ton of pucks on goal. They also have elite goaltending, regardless of who starts. There is no question that on paper, they are the better team. The Sharks are going to want to survive the first few minutes and do everything possible to clog up the neutral zone, but as the game progresses, Colorado will take over. We’ll take the Avalanche to secure the win in front of their home crowd by a couple of goals.
