Sharks vs Wild Pickswise Expert Predictions
The San Jose Sharks finish up their disappointing road trip with an afternoon tilt against the Minnesota Wild. They were able to do one positive: win a hockey game. Fans were hoping this team could take a step forward; instead, they are allowing 4.63 goals per game while facing close to 33 shots. Their penalty kill is also a mess, operating at 68%. It’s hard to win a hockey game when you’re giving up so many high-quality scoring chances and your goalie can’t make a save.
On the flip side, the Wild are giving the Sharks a run for their money. They are scoring under 2.50 goals per game, and their penalty kill is even worse, clicking at just 67%. Both teams are below average at scoring goals, but they allow a ton of shots, defend when down a man, and fill the net on the power play. It’s no shock that the Total opened at 6.5, and that’s where it will close come puck drop. We’ll take the Over and hope for a game filled with score chances that find the back of the net.
Sharks vs Wild prediction: Over 6.5 available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number or better.
