The last time the Detroit Red Wings took the ice at home, they were squandering a 4-1 lead against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night. Detroit dominated early on, but fell apart and ended up losing in overtime by a score of 5-4. It was a tough defeat, but the Red Wings bounced back nicely with a 2-1 victory in New York against the Rangers on Sunday. After an off day on Monday, look for Detroit to come out firing in an effort to give their home fans a better result this time around.

Detroit still has a lot to work on defensively, but the good news is that Seattle ranks 28th in the NHL scoring just 2.72 goals per game so far this season. Goals have been hard to come by for the Kraken, as only two skaters have more than 4 goals through the team’s first 18 games. It also doesn’t help that No. 1 goaltender Joey Daccord is currently on IR with an upper body injury.
