Blues vs Avalanche Pickswise Expert Predictions

Puck Line Pick
COL Avalanche -1.5(-125)

The St. Louis Blues close out the year with a visit to Colorado to face the Avalanche. St. Louis is scoring just 2.50 goals per game and creating very few scoring opportunities. The goaltending has been an issue but has shown signs of improvement in recent games. Even if the Blues played nearly perfect hockey, it still wouldn’t be enough.

The Avalanche are 16-0-2 at home this season and show no signs of slowing down. Calling them an elite hockey team would be an understatement. They are not only the highest-scoring team in the league, but they also allow the fewest goals. The only aspect the Avs haven’t fully unlocked yet is their powerplay, which should come together eventually. Expect Colorado to dominate play from start to finish, so I’ll back them to cover the puck line.

Blues vs Avalanche prediction: Colorado -1.5 (-125) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
