Blues vs Canadiens Pickswise Expert Predictions

Puck Line Pick
MTL Canadiens Win -1.5(+185)

The St. Louis Blues are heading to Montreal to face the Canadiens for the first time this season. Both teams are completing back-to-back games, but St. Louis is playing their third game in four nights, which may lead to fatigue. If it weren’t for Joel Hofer’s outstanding performance last night, the game would have been over before the second period ended. The Senators fired numerous shots on goal but scored only once. They deserved better, but without scoring goals, winning hockey games becomes challenging.

The Canadiens once again needed a shootout to defeat the Maple Leafs, but this time it wasn’t for lack of effort. The Leafs struggled to generate much offence, while the Canadiens had several quality scoring chances. Overall, Montreal was the better team, and the game shouldn’t have been as close as it was.

Recently, the Canadiens’ defence has been inconsistent, but their offence is finding its rhythm, and their power play is currently ranked 4th overall. If the Blues find themselves in penalty trouble, the Canadiens will capitalize on it. If both teams bring the same momentum to this upcoming game as they did yesterday, Montreal should be able to cover the Puck Line.

Blues vs Canadiens Prediction: Canadiens -1.5 (+185) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number or better.
