Maple Leafs vs Panthers Pickswise Expert Predictions

Toronto Maple Leafs
Puck Line Pick
FLA Panthers -1.5(+115)

The Toronto Maple Leafs have lost 3 in a row and now need a road victory to keep the series alive. After winning the first 2 games at home, Toronto has failed to generate much offense since. They have 1 goal in 2 games, and they are turning the puck over way too much. Then there’s the frustration with Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews. Both players are elite during the regular season, but Marner has made some costly turnovers while Matthews can’t find the back of the net.

For the Panthers, they have really taken command of the series. They went home and got the job done, then walked into Toronto and played a perfect road game. They have a chance tonight to save themselves a flight back to Canada and I expect them to do just that. They are Stanley Cup champions for a reason. They play great defensively, their depth up front is above-average and when Sergei Bobrovsky is on his game, he doesn’t get beat very often. This game will likely be a low-scoring affair, but overtime is unlikely. We’ll take the Panthers to cover the puck line and hope an empty-net goal can bail us out if needed.

Maple Leafs vs Panthers prediction: Panthers -1.5 (+115) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
