The Utah Mammoth and Toronto Maple Leafs are set for a Wednesday night showdown at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Maple Leafs are coming off a wild comeback victory that saw them erase a 3-0 deficit in the 3rd period against the Penguins. Toronto came storming back to score 4 unanswered goals to defeat Pittsburgh 4-3. They then enjoyed an off day on Tuesday, while Utah played in Buffalo. With that in mind, Toronto has a bit of a scheduling advantage in this one, as Utah will be playing on the second half of a road back-to-back on Wednesday.

Utah is coming off a hard fought 2-1 victory against Buffalo on Tuesday night. Nick Schmaltz continued his hot start to the season with a 3rd period tally, and Clayton Keller potted the game-winner in overtime. Utah  has been impressive so far in 2025, owning a 9-4-0 record. However, they are in a tough spot here going up against a Maple Leafs team that is playing with plenty of confidence and momentum after Monday’s thrilling win. Utah will also most likely have backup goaltender Vitek Vanecek between the pipes, as Karel Vejmelka got the nod on Tuesday. Vanecek has seen little action this season, appearing in just 3 games, and he has a tough assignment on his hands going up against Auston Matthews and company. Back the Maple Leafs at home.
