The Winnipeg Jets travel to Calgary to take on the Flames for the third and final time this season. Winnipeg has won both previous matchups and is hoping to complete the season series sweep. It’s been a rough go for the Jets on this road trip — losing 4 of their last 5 games — but it’s not surprising when you dig into the numbers. The Jets can’t generate offense on the road. They don’t shoot the puck enough in 5-on-5 situations, which results in minimal goals. We shouldn’t expect much to change tonight.

Calgary is just unable to score goals regardless of where it plays. The Glames are averaging just 2.05 per game on the season despite eclipsing 29 shots on goal most nights. It’s certainly concerning, but they just don’t have the talent to finish their chances. Dustin Wolf is expected to start this game and is coming off a very strong performance. He picked up his first shutout of the season and is hoping to keep the momentum going. With so few chances on either side, I’ll make a small lean toward the under.
