The Winnipeg Jets are missing Connor Hellebuyck in the worst way. Hellebuyck has been sidelined with a knee injury since November 15, and is slated to be out for at least a couple more weeks. The Jets are just 3-5-1 in Hellebuyck’s absence, as Eric Comrie and Thomas Milic have both struggled between the pipes. Winnipeg beat Buffalo by a score of 4-1 on Friday night with Comrie making 34 saves in the win. That means it will most likely be Milic in this one. Milic has allowed 6 goals in 2 games with an .882 save percentage and 3.65 goals-against average. It will be just the third career NHL start for the 22-year-old netminder, and going up against Connor McDavid and company presents plenty of challenges.

Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner has allowed just a single goal over his last 2 games, but consistency has been an issue once again. Skinner owns an .888 save percentage on the season and has allowed 3 or more goals in 8 of his last 11 outings. The Jets have a well-rounded forward group and a lethal powerplay that should be able to take advantage of Skinner’s inconsistency and Edmonton’s defensive woes. Look to the over.
