Arch Manning (Texas) Heisman Odds in 2026-27 (+800)
Nephew of former quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning, Arch Manning, is tied with Notre Dame QB CJ Carr for the shortest odds to win the Heisman. The 6’4” Texas Longhorns quarterback completed 248 out of his 404 passes for 3,163 total yards and 26 touchdowns, only throwing 7 interceptions in 13 games of the 2025-26 season. Manning had the shortest preseason odds to win last year’s award, and although he fell short of expectations, he’ll be right back in the mix this season.
CJ Carr (Notre Dame) Heisman Odds in 2026-27 (+800)
CJ Carr also carries +800 odds to win the 2026-27 Heisman, and the Notre Dame QB will be under center for the second straight season for the Fighting Irish. Last year, Carr played in 12 games, completing 195 of 293 passes for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Although he was 49th in the country in total passing yards, Carr is expected to take a big leap for the 2026-27 season, and Notre Dame was the No. 3-ranked team in ESPN’s preseason rankings.
Dante Moore (Oregon) Heisman Odds in 2026-27 (+1200)
Oregon QB Dante Moore surprised plenty of college football fans when he announced he’d return for his junior year. The Ducks QB completed 296 of 412 passes for 3,565 yards (tied for 11th in the country), 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Although the Ducks fell to the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff Semifinals, they’ll expect to make it back to that point (or farther), and Moore will be the main reason why.
Josh Hoover (Indiana) Heisman Odds in 2026-27 (+1200)
Josh Hoover will be the replacement for the 2025 Heisman winner, Fernando Mendoza, as he will take over as QB for the Indiana Hoosiers. Hoover is transferring to Indiana after starting for the TCU Horned Frogs during the 2025-26 season, completing 272 of 413 passes for 3,472 yards, 29 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He has some big shoes to fill this season, but if he comes anywhere close to what Mendoza did last season, he’ll be a name to watch for the 2026-27 Heisman.
Julian Sayin (Ohio State) Heisman Odds in 2026-27 (+1200)
The Ohio State QB will be in charge of the Buckeyes offense for the second consecutive year, and although he didn’t light the world on fire during the 2025-26 season, there’s a lot he can build on. Sayin completed 301 of 391 passes for 3,610 yards, 32 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. His 77.0% completion percentage was No. 1 in the country, and with Ohio State likely being right back in the mix for a National Championship, Sayin’s Heisman Trophy odds are completely justified.

It’s no surprise to see five quarterbacks leading the way for Heisman odds, and if I had to choose one of these five QBs, I’d pick Dante Moore (+1200) to win the 2026 Heisman trophy. As I said above, plenty of CFB fans were surprised to see Moore returning to Oregon because he likely would’ve been a top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, I have to think the main reason for his return was because of his performance against Indiana in the CFB Semifinals. Moore completed just 61.5% of his passes in a 56-22 defeat, which began with Moore throwing a pick-six on the first play. He’ll be extremely hungry to get back to the College Football Playoff and go even farther.
WR Iverson Hooks (UAB) is a major addition for Oregon through the transfer portal, and although senior RB Noah Whittington will no longer be with the team, running backs Jordon Davison and Dierre Hill are returning after they combined for 1,323 rushing yards during the 2025-26 season. Overall, this Oregon offense will be one of the nation’s best, and will be led by Moore, which is why I love his +1200 odds to win the 2026 Heisman Trophy.
🤑 Heisman 2026-27: Longshot Candidates to Watch
While we’ve shared our top Heisman futures bet, there’s always a chance for some underdogs to blow our expectations out of the water. For one, Michigan QB Bryce Underwood (+3300) can’t be counted out as he put up 2,428 passing yards (60.3% passes completed) and 392 rushing yards with 17 total touchdowns during his freshman season. Under new head coach Kyle Whittingham, Underwood could take a big leap, especially if Whittingham fully utilizes the young QB’s legs.
LSU’s Sam Leavitt (+1600) may also be another dark horse to watch out for now that he joined Lane Kiffin in Baton Rouge. Leavitt only passed for 1,628 yards with 10 touchdowns in 7 games for Arizona State last season, but it should be another story with Kiffin taking over the Tigers.

A thorough voting process goes into deciding the Heisman trophy winner. This mainly involved media members, former winners and a fan vote. Each voter ranks three players with points associated with each position (three points for first, two points for second, one point for third).
