This is a rescheduled game after a blizzard on Jan. 26 caused the original game to be postponed. The Blue Jackets have posted points in 16 of the past 18 games, going 14-2-2. Columbus suffered a 5-4 loss in overtime last time out against the Utah Mammoth, but it is still 3-0-2 in the past five games. The Jackets are working on a streak with at least three goals in five in a row, and 11 of the previous 12 outings. These teams met once before this season, with Columbus winning 3-1 at Crypto.com Arena on Dec. 22, 2025 as moderate underdogs (+130) as the Under (5.5) cashed.

The Kings have really been struggling badly lately, going just 2-6-1 in the past nine games. On the road, L.A. is 1-2-1 in the previous four outings. The Kings have coughed up three or more goals in three in a row, and seven of the past eight games, conceding 4.2 goals per game (GPG) in the eight-game span. The Over is 4-1-1 in the past six outings, too. Despite an Under result in the first meeting in Southern California, let’s go Over in this rare Monday matinee game in C-Bus.

The New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers meet at Xfinity Mobile Center in Philadelphia for the fourth and final regular-season meeting. The road team has won the past two meetings, including Philadelphia’s 3-2 win in overtime on Feb. 26 at Madison Square Garden as the Under (6) cashed. New York was awful at home, and very good on the road early in the season. They’ve tailed off at all venues lately, going just 2-5-2 in the past nine games, and 3-12-3 in the past 18 outings.

The last time these teams met, Sam Carrick had a goal for the Rangers, but he has since been traded to the Buffalo Sabres. Matvei Michkov had a pair of goals for the Flyers, including a power-play goal in regulation, and an even-strength winner in overtime. Philadelphia has had a flare for the dramatic lately, going to overtime or a shootout five times in the past nine outings, going 4-1-0 in the past five games. The Under is also on an 8-1 run, in the event you’re looking for a same-game parlay (SGP) possibility. The Over-Under has split 3-3 in the past six games for the Blueshirts, though. Let’s take the Flyers to get the job done on the moneyline as our best play.

The Utah Mammoth will be visiting the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night. The Blackhawks will be on the second half of a back-to-back as they were in Dallas on Sunday to take on the Stars. That game went to overtime, so I expect the Mammoth to have the rest advantage. The Mammoth come into this game riding a three-game winning streak, and this good play is coming at a good time as they are trying to hang on to one of the wild-card playoff spots in the western conference. They should have an easy time shutting down the offense of the Blackhawks as the Mammoth are the fourth-best defensive team in the league. They average 2.75 goals against per game. The Blackhawks are one of the worst offensive teams, averaging 2.63 goals per game and they average the fewest shots on goal per game at 24.5.

With where these two teams are currently at, I expect the Mammoth to come out with a better performance. They have some elite talent at the top of their lineup, led by Clayton Keller, that outside of Connor Bedard the Blackhawks cannot match. Give me Utah in this one.

The Ottawa Senators will be in Vancouver on Monday night to take on the woeful Canucks. The Canucks are by far and away the worst team in the NHL as they are in last pace by 10 points. They are the second-worst offensive team and the worst defensive team, averaging 3.71 goals against per game. The Senators are in the thick of a tight playoff race in the eastern conference, so this game means a lot for them. I expect them to come out with a strong performance against a much weaker opponent and take care of their business. The Senators come into this game playing some good hockey, they are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games played. In one previous meeting with the Canucks this season, the Senators won 2-1.

The Canucks have only won six times on home ice this season, and I do not expect they will improve that on Monday. Brady Tkachuk will have his team firing on all cylinders. I expect a dominant game from the Senators from start to finish. Give me the Senators on the puck line.

How Do I Get NHL Picks For Today’s Games?

NHL Picks are most similar to MLB Picks, in that the most popular NHL wagering is done via the Money line (ML) where a bettor simply picks a winner or loser of the game finding value in the price. Just like an MLB pitcher, NHL game lines are determined largely by the goaltender matchup. You’re going to pay a premium price (-180 or more) for putting in an NHL free pick on a solid goaltender – but it’s one position that can win or lose the bet for you. Fatigue is also a factor in finding the best NHL picks as Team A may be playing their first game in a week while Team B is in their 3rd contest in 5 nights.

We try to post our NHL picks for today at least 24 hours in advance. However, due to the huge volume of games, this can sometimes be impossible if teams are playing back-to-back games. We want to get our picks up as close as possible to the opening lines so we can get on the early line value, but team news and research is always key to making the best possible NHL Picks.

NHL Picks Against the Spread

NHL betting has a 1.5-goal spread known as the puck line (PL). Again just like baseball betting has the run line (-1.5). NHL wagers are exciting until the very last second of the game as teams often pull their goaltender near the end to get an extra skater on the ice. All of a sudden an empty-net goal pushes your NHL free pick to victory – or defeat. Betting on the puck line provides better payout odds and NHL picks against the spread can also be pushed to higher numbers such as -2.5 or 3.5 goals for an even better return on investment.

Free NHL Over / Under Picks

Most games are listed right around 5.5 goals in the NHL. The total number of goals is the total of combined goals by both teams and you can either select over or under the total. If the line is 5.5 and you wish to wager on the over then the total combined goals for the game must be 6 or more for you to cash your ticket.

NHL over/under betting is an interesting wager. A huge factor to take into consideration is the goaltenders as they have a huge part to play in influencing the number of goals in the game. A goaltender’s Goals Against Average (GAA) is a key stat to measure the effectiveness of a goaltender.

NHL Consensus Picks

NHL Consensus Picks is a way of saying the popular pick or often referred to as a public pick. What this actually means is where the majority of the bets are being placed. If we’re looking at Money Line markets, for example, if 70% of the tickets are on the Pittsburgh Penguins to beat the New York Islanders, then the Penguins are the consensus pick for that game.
