The over/under for the Pac-12 After Dark matchup has moved from 66.5 to 71.5 at most books at the time of publishing. While it’s always fun to root for points, I’ve got my eye on the Bobcats coming off an impressive result on the road against Boise State, falling by one as 10-point ‘dogs. The defense is an obvious concern, but the offense has proven the ability to keep up with any opponent not named the Texas Longhorns. After falling to the Longhorns in Week 1, all three of Texas State’s losses have been decided by five points or less despite surrendering 31+ points in each loss.
Among FBS programs, the Bobcats rank top 25 in EPA per play, success rate and points per game on offense. The Beavers are averaging 38.4 points per game, and it’s no secret they’ll find the end zone plenty in this matchup, but the Bobcats have the tools on offense to keep this within a score.
