The Kansas Jayhawks head to Fort Worth to face the TCU Horned Frogs this weekend. These teams each have a single Big 12 win, and for both teams, it came against a struggling Baylor team in consecutive weeks. Kansas overcame an 11-point, fourth-quarter deficit, and they still had to block a field goal as time expired to hang on. The Frogs followed up their Baylor win with a four-point loss to West Virginia at home, a game in which the Frogs once again struggled to score. On Saturday, I like TCU to bounce back, and this is a game that ought to be controlled by their defense. Give me TCU -5.5.
TCU is a legit defense, and their defensive line in particular can ruin a game for the opponent. They held a potent West Virginia offense to just 265 total yards last week, and they wrecked Baylor the week before. Kansas is not a great offense, and their dual-threat QB has a strong arm, but he throws off target way too often – a good defense can exploit him. The problem for the Frogs has been on offense, where they struggle to move the ball, and they turn the ball over too much (three times last week). If the Frogs can reign in the turnovers, they should easily control this game with their defense. Take the Horned Frogs.
