The Western Michigan Broncos host the Bowling Green Falcons in MAC play Saturday. The Broncos are coming off a tough road loss to Toledo last week, dropping them to 3-1 in league play. Bowling Green is 2-2 in the MAC, having just dropped 2 in a row to Buffalo and Ball State. The Broncos very much need to bounce back with a win here at home if they want to stay in the MAC race, and I think they will get it down comfortably against the Falcons. Give me Western Michigan -13.5.
Bowling Green is a run-heavy team under head man Eddie George. WMU has had some struggles on defense, but those have mostly been against the passing game. I expect the Falcons to have a hard time scoring in this one. The Broncos, on the other hand, ought to have a strong offense. Broc Lowry had a bad game last week, completing only 12 of his 29 pass attempts, but that should correct itself this week. Look for the Broncos to put together a much better offensive effort, especially playing at home. Give me Western Michigan to cover here.
