Memphis has quietly become one of the most explosive offenses in the country, averaging 516.7 yards per game while scoring at least 38 points in three straight games. Against a Tulane defense that has struggled to create havoc, the Tigers look capable of keeping their surge alive, while the Green Wave may be headed for a crash.

The rankings say SMU is the team on the rise, but Virginia may be closer to a breakthrough than most realize. With an efficient offense and a quarterback playing some of his best football, the Cavaliers could be a live underdog this weekend.

Don't let the Wildcats wild journey to the Top-25 fool you into expecting fireworks. This matchup has all the ingredients of a classic Big 10 slugfest, where field position, clock management, and defensive prowess take center stage.

Recent results have not been kind to Tulsa, but the underlying performances tell a different story. With Rice stuck in a five-week slide of its own, the Golden Hurricane may have found the right opponent at the right time.

The Cardinals have looked like two different teams this season: one at home and another on the road. With Louisville leaving the friendly confines once again, Syracuse may be in a better position than many expect to make this a four-quarter battle, and I see the Orange likely leaving the Cardinals red in the face.

Los Lobos travel 3,227 miles to the tropical paradise of Hawaii and they bring with them their #5 scoring offense in the nation. It’s true New Mexico is only allowing 10.6 points per game, however, if Los Lobos put up 35 or more, we may only need Hawaii to hang 10.

Wake Forest may be ranked, unbeaten on the road, and sitting comfortably inside the Top 25. So why are oddsmakers only asking them to cover 9.5 points against an unranked Cal team? That's the question worth asking.

Not every game featuring a struggling defense turns into a shootout. Fresno State's recent road games have been allergic to points, and Saturday may be another case where perception expects fireworks, but reality delivers a defensive grind.

A total of 39.5 feels surprisingly low for a game featuring two teams that showed plenty of offensive life last week. If Tampa Bay's new confidence and Pittsburgh's scoring surge continue, the 40-point mark could be in danger long before the final whistle.

If Pittsburgh is truly the better team, somebody forgot to tell the oddsmakers. With this spread sitting below a field goal, Tampa Bay looks less like a longshot and more like a home underdog with a quarterback who’s finding his grove and coming off a huge upset win.
