To start today's MLB NLDS parlay, I'm backing the Braves to take control of this series against the Dodgers. Atlanta earned a huge 1-1 split in LA despite throwing a pair of bullpen games. Now the Braves have Chris Sale on the mound, who compiled a 2.16 ERA in the regular season and an insane 200-to-31 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Sale was sharp in his two appearances against the Dodgers this year, and I believe he can make the difference for Atlanta today.
To bring home our MLB parlay, I'm siding with the Padres to get back into their NLDS series against the Brewers. San Diego is in an 0-2 hole, but they have been hot at Petco Park and will have Nick Pivetta on the mound, who has been solid since joining the rotation. Meanwhile, the Brewers start Dustin May, who has a 5-7 record and a 4.38 ERA. In a win-or-go-home situation, I'm banking on the Padres to answer the call and keep this series alive.
