To start tonight's NBA parlay, I'm backing the Cavaliers to beat the Thunder. Injuries have caught up to OKC, who just lost their second straight game by double digits. Now they have to face a Cleveland team that has started the season 3-0 at home and has looked like making another push for the championship this year. The Thunder have a lot to overcome here and I'm expecting them to struggle once again.
Next, I'm taking the Pistons to beat the Hornets. Detroit has owned Charlotte recently, winning six straight head-to-head matchups by an average of 12 points. The Hornets were held to 104 points or fewer in each of those games, and now face them without Kon Knueppel. The Pistons boast one of the best defenses in the NBA and they should shut down the Hornets and pick up another victory.
To close out today's NBA parlay, I'm backing the Trail Blazers to keep things close with the Nuggets. The Blazers have started hot this year, winning four of their first five games. They'll be without Ja Morant for this one, but still have plenty of depth with Damian Lillard, Scoot Henderson, and Deni Avdija. Portland ranks fourth in the NBA in offensive rating, while Denver is all the way down in 15th. This will be a tough test for the Blazers, but I believe they can push the Nuggets all the way tonight.
