It has already been a tumultuous season for both the Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets, but the Jets (4-3) are starting to come on strong and even the Chargers (3-4) are hanging around in the AFC wild-card picture. It’s not necessarily a marquee Monday night matchup, but the stakes are nonetheless high.

The Pickswise team has been absolutely on fire with their touchdown scorer prop picks throughout this 2023 NFL campaign, so let’s keep the momentum going! Here are my best TD scorer bets for Monday Night Football, and also be sure to check out our full Chargers vs Jets predictions.

Garrett Wilson, WR, NYJ (+195 at FanDuel)

Wilson scored a touchdown in each of the first 2 games of the season. He has not found the endzone since, but it’s only a matter of time before he gets the job done again. After all, the second-year receiver out of Ohio State has remained incredibly productive despite not putting points on the board himself. Wilson has been targeted at least 12 times in 3 of the last 4 contests and has made at least 7 catches in 3 of those 4. His 2 most recent yardage totals are 90 and 100. He now gets an extremely favorable matchup with the Chargers, who are dead last in the NFL in passing defense by a country mile – allowing 297.4 yards per game through the air on a ridiculous 8.4 yards per attempt. They have surrendered 12 passing touchdowns. Look for Wilson to take advantage.

Gerald Everett, TE, LAC (+330 at DraftKings)

Speaking of favorable matchups, no has allowed more touchdowns to tight ends this season than the Jets (5). Everett has already scored in each of the last 2 games and he has every reason to make it 3 in a row when you consider the opponent. New York is actually quite good against the pass in general; it just can’t contain tight ends in the red zone. With Mike Williams on IR and Keenan Allen being guarded by Sauce Gardner, this is another good opportunity for Everett to step up. I also like backup tight end Donald Parham Jr. (+430 via FanDuel) and would advise a small play on both at long odds.
