A new week in MLB gets started today and we have plenty of games to get excited for. Among one new series that stands out are NL East rivals colliding with the Philadelphia Phillies travelling to Queens to battle the New York Mets. Let’s dive into my favorite MLB player prop bets for Monday, May 13, which features a pick from that game. Also, make sure you find out our MLB picks for each of today’s big matchups.

Philadelphia Phillies team total over 3.5 runs (-135)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The Philadelphia Phillies’ 28 wins are the most in baseball at the moment, thanks in large part to their elite rotation and a star-studded lineup that is filled with power. Even with the loss of Trea Turner, they haven’t missed a beat. On Monday night, the Phillies will battle the New York Mets on the road against LHP Sean Manaea and his 4.47 xERA.

Manaea, for the most part, dealt a gem in his last outing. He was throwing 5 shutout innings before the 6th inning came. He then imploded by allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk. The bad news for Manaea is that went against the St. Louis Cardinals — one of the worst offenses in baseball. Now he gets a Phillies offense that ranks in the top 10 in nearly every major statistical hitting category against LHP. I will also be sprinkling a ladder up to 5.5 — priced at +200 on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Kyle Schwarber (PHI) over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (+105)

Line available at BetMGM at time of publishing.

If you’re uncomfortable having too much exposure on the Phillies offense, consider scaling down your units for this player prop. Nonetheless, I love Kyle Schwarber leading off tonight for the Phillies — where he’ll potentially get 5 at-bats. Schwarber and his reverse splits should come in handy tonight against LHP Sean Manaea. Schwarber is hitting .328 against LHP, including going over this number in 5 straight road games — four of five games with at least five plate appearances. Not having Trea Turner behind Schwarber hurts, but the guys behind him have made up for the loss. Whether J.T. Realmuto, Whit Merrifield or Edmundo Sosa are in the 2-hole, Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm will then follow — both are playing at All-Star levels.

We also have an MLB mega parlay for today’s action at +929 odds!
