I went 7-3 with my NBA Best Bets on Friday, I’m hoping to outperform that record on Saturday with another 6-game slate coming our way. The action starts as early as 3 pm ET as the Spurs and Bucks clash on Prime Video. After that we have the Pistons and Timberwolves at 5.30 pm ET on ABC, followed by an all-West affair in Phoenix between the Suns and Jazz live on NBA TV from 10 pm ET.
I’ve done my analysis on all 6 games and have prepared my NBA Best Bets, available below. Odds are of course courtesy of FanDuel, be sure to also go over our expert NBA Picks for this exciting slate of games. Let’s see what I have in store for you today!
Spurs vs Bucks Best Bet: Spurs -18.5 (-112)
San Antonio is on fire right now having won 7 games in a row. They’re posting a +16.7 Net Rating during this stretch and have the 3rd best offense and 4th best defense in terms of efficiency. Milwaukee is the complete opposite, with a number of key players out injured including Giannis Antetokounmpo. In order for Wemby’s MVP case to hold the Spurs have to continue winning in dominant fashion, I’ll back them to do just that in the early tip-off.
Pistons vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Timberwolves ML (-138)
Both teams without their best players, but unlike Detroit the Timberwolves’ others are all playing. This game being held at Target Center could be the key advantage for Minnesota, over the years they’ve had the edge in this building vs the Pistons winning 4 of the last 5 games. With Minny being 4-1 ATS/SU in their last 5 games overall and winning 14 of their last 20 East teams it would be foolish not to back them here.
76ers vs Hornets Best Bet: Hornets -5.5 (-115)
The return of Embiid and George will make it a bit more difficult for the Hornets than it should be, but they should still be winning this one fairly comfortably. They’re clearly the more in-form team, over the past 15 games they’re 12-3 SU and have the NBA’s best Net Rating at +16 points. For Philly it’s great to see them getting back some of their players, but until Maxey is back they’re not competitive against the top teams in the East in my opinion.
Kings vs Hawks Best Bet: Over 236.5 Points (-114)
Atlanta is playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back so the defense might be a step slow here. They like to play an up tempo style, this season they’ve ranked 3rd in pace averaging 103.7 possessions per game. Sacramento doesn’t care all that much about defense, their last 4 of 5 games have gone over the total. For Atlanta this bet has yielded a profit in 5 of 7, so let’s stick with the trends and back the points in this one.
Bulls vs Grizzlies Best Bet: Bulls -3.5 (-110)
Both teams playing with no rest and coming off losses. The key difference here is the number of players out injured for Memphis. Their starting unit will feature some lesser known players, while the Bulls still have Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis and others at their disposal. The experience alone should be the deciding factor in Chicago’s favor. They won the first meeting some 10 days ago 132-107 in Chicago.
Jazz vs Suns Best Bet: Devin Booker 2+ Made Threes (-192)
Booker has hit a pair of threes in 15 of the last 18 meetings, averaging 3 makes from downtown on 38% efficiency. Utah allows the most threes this season as a team and ranks 2nd for threes allowed to opposing shooting guards. With him clearing this line 12 times in 20 games, it’s really hard not to back him to do it on Saturday as well.
