SGA, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jalen Brunson are among the many stars hitting the NBA hardwood on Tuesday night as an 8-game slate comes our way. Don’t miss out on NBC’s double-header featuring clashes between the Cavaliers and Bucks, as well as the 76ers and Nuggets.
My NBA Best Bets for all 8 games are available below, odds are of course courtesy of FanDuel. Be sure to go over our NBA Picks as well on this busy Tuesday evening, but now let’s jump into my predictions!
Pistons vs Wizards Best Bet: Duncan Robinson Over 10.5 Points (+100)
Really solid odds for a bet that’s cashed in 60% of games this season for Duncan Robinson. The last time he played the Wizards, Robinson finished with 21 points. It was the 3rd time in 4 meetings he was able to clear this line. The Wizards allow the 2nd most points this season and rank 6th for points allowed to opposing shooting guards.
Thunder vs Magic Best Bet: Paolo Banchero Over 21.5 Points (-102)
Banchero is a nightly mismatch at the PF position against most teams, as good as the Thunder are on defense I don’t think this is a good match-up for Chet Holmgren at all. Banchero’s last two home games vs OKC saw him score 23 and 25 points, he’s been solid enough lately to warrant our trust here.
Heat vs Hornets Best Bet: Hornets -3.5 (-110)
I’m hoping the Hornets can wake up after losing their last two games. Miami has had their number this season winning all 3 meetings so far, but at some point pride has to kick in for Charlotte. There is a chance Bam Adebayo sits this one out, that’d be a major handicap for a Heat team that just had it’s 7-game win streak snapped.
Pacers vs Knicks Best Bet: Pacers +16.5 (-108)
The Pacers always seem to play with an edge when they go up against the Knicks. Despite the losing streak and all the injury issues they have, I don’t think we should disregard them so easily on Tuesday at MSG. They’ve won once and covered in all 3 meetings with New York this season.
Suns vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Suns +4 (-112)
Minnesota is without Ant Man, can they rely on Julius Randle to carry them here with him averaging just 15.2 points per game and shooting just 20% over the last 10 outings? Phoenix won the first two meetings, they have a healthy Devin Booker at their disposal and are one of the more reliable road teams against the spread this season.
Cavaliers vs Bucks Best Bet: Bucks +10 (-108)
Time is running out for Giannis and co. in their quest of making it into the play-in tournament. Cleveland’s confidence will be shaken after the embarrassing loss to Dallas over the weekend, I feel like the Bucks can keep things interesting here, or even pull off the upset completely.
76ers vs Nuggets Best Bet: Nuggets -15.5 (-110)
This should be a one-sided affair given the injury situation in Philadelphia. Denver needs the win following the disappointing loss in LA, bouncing back here allows them to get a step closer to that 3rd seed in the West. If they can guard against complacency here, they should get the job done.
Spurs vs Kings Best Bet: DeMar DeRozan 4+ Assists (-154)
All of a sudden the Kings have won 4 of their last 5 games and nobody knows how or why. DeMar DeRozan has turned back the clock a bit, averaging 20.2 points and 5.3 assists per game in his last 9 outings. In two games against his former team he’s averaging 23.5 points and 4.5 assists, he will be extra motivated to do well against them on Tuesday. San Antonio ranks 8th for assists allowed to opposing SFs this season.
