Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. Warriors vs Clippers first basket best bet: Kawhi Leonard (+550)

Ivica Zubac and the Los Angeles Clippers have been dominating the tip of late, winning 7 of their last 10. Expect them to improve that further as they come up against an undersized center in Kevon Looney. The Warriors have not been particularly good defensively, ranking 15th in defensive rating over the last 10 games. It should give Kawhi Leonard a great chance of making the first field goal. He has done so 3 times over his last 8 starts. His ability as a wing to beat people off the dribble should come in handy tonight, especially against a team without an established shot blocker in the paint. Plus, it is worth remembering that he has history with this Warriors franchise. I expect him to come out aggressive tonight.

Wizards vs Trail Blazers first basket best bet: Bradley Beal (+550)

With Jusuf Nurkic out for the Portland Trail Blazers, Drew Eubanks has been jumping for the ball at the start of games. He will be giving up 5 inches in height to Kristaps Porzingis tonight, which should make it incredibly difficult for him to win it. With the Trail Blazers bottom of the NBA over the last 10 games in defensive rating, it would give the visitors a great chance to make the first basket. Guards Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons rank 12th and 16th on the Blazers roster this season in defensive rating. Those defensive frailties are something a superstar like Bradley Beal looks set to exploit. He has taken the first field goal for the Wizards in 3 of their last 10 games. Against this defense, he would have a great chance of converting.
