Friday’s action in the NBA sees a total of 16 teams hit the NBA hardwood and a Prime Video double-header starting from 1 pm ET. The Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets open the proceedings, followed by a clash in Milwaukee between the desperate Bucks and shorthanded Nuggets.
I’ve prepared a 3-game NBA Parlay to spice things up, it includes one Money Line selection, one spread pick and a bet on the point total. Continue reading below to see the full extent of it, but also make sure you visit our NBA Picks page ahead of Friday’s slate. Let’s get into my Parlay now!
ATL Hawks ML (+128)
BOS Celtics -8.5 (-106)
Over 233.5 Pts in Kings @ Cavaliers (-115)
NBA Parlay odds: +728
ATL Hawks ML over PHX Suns (+128)
It has been a long and grueling road trip for the Suns who have been away from home for 12 days now, it all ends tonight in Atlanta with a match-up against the Hawks. More often than not teams will just run out of energy in scenarios like these, I am definitely factoring this in for tonight’s game. The first meeting between these two sides went down the wire and it was actually Atlanta that came out on top by 2 points back in mid-November. A lot has changed since then, this current Hawks team looks a lot different than the one that won in that game.
They just edged out the Grizzlies by 2 points on the road, behind another masterful performance by Jalen Johnson. He will be the key in tonight’s game as well, the first meeting saw him get a 25 point and 10 rebound double-double. Atlanta has done well guarding the perimeter this season, ranking in the top half of the NBA and allowing 35.8% of threes to go in. They’ve actually had the upper hand in head-to-head meetings going 6-2 ATS/SU in the last 8 games, so I’m hoping they can add to that on Friday night.
BOS Celtics -8.5 over BKN Nets (-106)
The tanking Nets are an embarrassment to the NBA right now. Wednesday saw them score just 66 points and get absolutely annihilated by the New Yor Knicks by 54 points at the Garden. This team clearly doesn’t care anymore about winning, they’re just trying to secure a high pick in this year’s draft, so it would be wise to continue backing against them in the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, the Celtics have defied odds all season long and find themselves in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference, despite not having their best player Jayson Tatum. Jaylen Brown has elevated his game to a whole new level, he just had another strong 30 point, 10 rebound and 5 assists performance in a big win over Indiana. Boston has won 9 of 10 meetings, they are also on an 11-game win streak in games played at Brooklyn. From a bettors’ perspective they’re also a reliable 4-1 ATS in 5 games and have covered in 6 of 7 on the road.
Over 233.5 Pts in Kings @ Cavaliers (-115)
The lowly Sacramento Kings are once again double-digit underdogs as they head to Cleveland for a date with the Cavaliers. Domantas Sabonis is finally off the injury report, which could bolster the inside a bit, but that might not even matter against a three-point happy Cavs team on Friday. This Kings defense has been atrocious all year long, they’re ranked 27th in defensive efficiency and are allowing over 120 points per game. The over has cashed 4 times in their last 6 outings.
Backing the over in Cavaliers games vs Western Conference opponents has resulted in profit 4 times in 6 games played. After seeing them score just 94 points in the win over Charlotte the other day, I feel like they could do a complete 180 in Friday’s game and go on a relentless scoring binge vs the Kings. The last 3 meetings have averaged 240.2 points per game, while the last 6 games head-to-head have seen the over cash 4 times. I’m counting on the Cavaliers three-ball to start falling here, there’s just too much talent on this roster for them to not score in double-digits from three-point land in 3 consecutive games. Take the over.
