Friday’s action in the NBA sees a total of 16 teams hit the NBA hardwood and an Amazon Prime Video doubleheader starting at 7:00 pm ET. The Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets open the proceedings, followed by a clash in Milwaukee between the desperate Bucks and shorthanded Nuggets. I’ve prepared a 3-game NBA Parlay to spice things up, which includes a money line selection, a spread pick and a bet on a point total. Let’s get into the breakdown, but also make sure you visit our NBA picks page ahead of Friday’s slate.

Hawks ML (+128)

Celtics -8.5 (-106)

Kings vs Cavaliers Over 223.5 (-115)

NBA parlay odds: +728

NBA parlay pick: Atlanta Hawks ML over Phoenix Suns (+128)

It has been a long and grueling road trip for the Suns, who have been away from home for 12 days now; it all ends tonight in Atlanta with a match-up against the Hawks. More often than not, teams will just run out of energy in scenarios like these, and I am definitely factoring this in for tonight’s game. The first meeting between these sides went down the wire, and it was actually Atlanta that came out on top by 2 points back in mid-November. A lot has changed since then, as this current Hawks team looks a lot different than the one that won in that game.

They just edged out the Grizzlies by 2 points on the road behind another masterful performance from Jalen Johnson. He will be the key in tonight’s game as well, as he recorded a 25-point and 10-rebound double-double in the first meeting. Atlanta has done well guarding the perimeter this season, ranking in the top half of the NBA in opposing three-point percentage. They’ve actually had the upper hand in head-to-head meetings, going 6-2 ATS/SU in the last 8 games against Phoenix, so I’m hoping they can add to that on Friday night.

Here’s our Hawks vs Suns prediction

NBA parlay pick: Boston Celtics -8.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-106)

The tanking Nets are an embarrassment to the NBA right now. They scored just 66 points on Wednesday in a 54-point annihilation by the New York Knicks at the Garden. This team clearly doesn’t care anymore about winning, they’re just trying to secure a high pick in this year’s draft, so it would be wise to continue fading them in the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have defied odds all season long and find themselves in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference despite not having their best player Jayson Tatum. Jaylen Brown has elevated his game to a whole new level, as he just had another strong 30-point, 10-rebound and 5-assist performance in a big win over Indiana. Boston has won 9 of 10 meetings against the Nets, and they are also on an 11-game win streak in games played at Brooklyn. From a bettors’ perspective, they’re also a reliable 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games and have covered in 6 of 7 on the road.

NBA parlay pick: Sacramento Kings vs Cleveland Cavaliers Over 233.5 (-115)

The lowly Sacramento Kings are once again double-digit underdogs when they head to Cleveland for a date with the Cavaliers. Domantas Sabonis is finally off the injury report, which could bolster the inside a bit, but that might not even matter against a three-point happy Cavs team on Friday. This Kings defense has been atrocious all year long, as they rank 27th in defensive efficiency while allowing over 120 points per game. The over has cashed 4 times in their last 6 outings.

Backing the over in Cavaliers games against Western Conference opponents has resulted in profit 4 times in 6 games played. After scoring just 94 points in the win over Charlotte the other day, they could do a complete 180 in Friday’s game and go on a relentless scoring binge against the Kings. The last 3 meetings between these teams have averaged 240.2 points per game, while the last 6 head-to-head meetings have played to the over 4 times. I’m counting on the Cavaliers three-ball to start falling here; there’s just too much talent on this roster for them to not score in double-digits from three-point land in 3 consecutive games. Take the over.
