We have just a 3-game NBA slate to work with on Saturday, highlighted by an ABC-televised showdown between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks insider Madison Square Garden at 8:30 pm ET. Orlando, Detroit, Brooklyn and Minnesota are also taking the court.

Below is my mega parlay for Saturday, and also be sure to check out all of our NBA picks.

Pistons ML (+225)

Celtics -10.5 alternate spread (+150)

Timberwolves -7.5 (-110)

NBA parlay odds: +1451

For this parlay I am going with 2 favorites against the spread – 1 on an alternate number – and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Detroit Pistons ML over Orlando Magic (+225)

The Pistons are still the worst team in the NBA, but it feels like only a matter of time (perhaps as early as this weekend) before the pass Washington and they are also within striking distance of San Antonio. Detroit is actually playing decent basketball of late – at least by its season-long standards. Isaiah Stewart is suspended due to his altercation with Phoenix center Drew Eubanks, but the Pistons have plenty of other big men like Jalen Duren James Wiseman and Ausar Thompson who can pick up the slack. For the Magic, Markelle Fultz is out; that’s not a crippling absence, but it doesn’t help. Although Orlando is playing pretty well these days, this is by no means a team that is an automatic ‘W’ against Detroit.

Boston Celtics -10.5 alternate spread over New York Knicks (+150)

New York is in absolute shambles at the moment. This club is still in a top-4 spot in the Eastern Conference, but it is by no means in the clear for a top-6 seeding. There is no guarantee that the Knicks will avoid the play-in tournament. Both Julius Randle and OG Anunoby are injured, which is the real problem in New York. If this team was healthy, it would be a real contender in the East. But it isn’t, and that means a blowout is likely in the cards when Boston pays a visit to MSG. The Celtics are 44-12 overall (by far the best record in the entire NBA) and they have won 7 in a row. Their 2 most recent victories have come by 50 and 17 points – over Brooklyn and Chicago, respectively. Boston is sweeping the head-to-head series 3-0 so far this season, with 2 of its wins coming by double-digits.

Minnesota Timberwolves -7.5 over Brooklyn Nets (-110)

The Timberwolves are playing the second leg of a back-to-back situation, but that should not be any cause for concern. They are 4-1 in their last 5 such scenarios, with their only loss during this stretch coming against Boston – on the road and in overtime. One of their 4 such victories has come against none other than Brooklyn via a 96-94 decision on the road in late January. Now the T-Wolves are coming off a loss to the Bucks on Friday night. That should actually help Minnesota in terms of inspiring it to get back on track right away. This team has lost back-to-back games only twice this whole season. Meanwhile, the Nets are a complete disaster. They have lost 3 in a row, 6 of 7 and just fired head coach Jacque Vaughn. Kevin Ollie has stepped in under the interim tag, but nothing changed on Thursday as Brooklyn got blown out by Toronto 121-93. Yes, Toronto is terrible. Minnesota should win this one in comfortable fashion.
