With Ja Morant out of the Grizzlies lineup, a number of players are being called upon to step up in his absence. One of those players looks to be Tyus Jones. The Duke product saw his minutes increase greatly against the Clippers as he was on the court for 36 minutes — way up from his regular-season average of 22 — and was able to turn that into 25 points and 12 assists. He also registered 5 steals. Jones proved in that game that he’s capable of getting it done for Memphis and I’m predicting another strong game. The Lakers rank 17th in defensive rating and just last week allowed 4 Grizzlies players to score 16 points or more. All things considered, taking the over on this Jones points prop looks to be the way to go.

Jalen Green over 21.5 points (-105)

There is always a feeling of fear when you’re taking a prop on a player for the Houston Rockets, but this looks to be a good spot for Jalen Green. Granted, he has only gone over this line in 3 of his last 8 games, but those do include 31, 29 and 41-point performances, and he came up just short of this number against the Grizzlies. Regardless, Green has been making plenty of shot attempts and should be able to reach this number against a poor Nets team. Brooklyn is renowned for its struggling defense and after Green scored 30 points against them last season, it wouldn’t be a surprise to have another strong performance.
