Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There are 8 games on the NBA slate tonight, which is plenty to choose a few great player prop bets from. The pick of the bunch will be the encounter between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks. The teams met in last year’s playoffs in what was an explosive 7-game series. If tonight is more of the same, we will be in for a treat.

You can check out our NBA predictions for all tonight’s games, but for now take a look at my player prop selections below.

Trae Young over 2.5 made threes (+100)

While Trae Young has not hit this line in his last 3 games, he should be set to a bounce-back performance tonight. The Oklahoma City Thunder should prove a favorable opponent, as they rank 19th in opponent 3-point makes per game and 5th in the league in pace. The Thunder starting 5 were all on their roster last season, so have all seen Young average 4.5 made threes against them. Clint Capela should prove a major rolling threat and should demand plenty of attention on the inside, allowing more space for those on the perimeter. Considering his handle, look for Young to have success creating separation when matched up against Josh Giddey too. In all, look for him to replicate last season’s performances.

Kevin Porter Jr. over 5.5 assists (-125)

Kevin Porter Jr. has been averaging 6 assists per game for the Houston Rockets, thanks in part to his recent passing run. He has been able to record 6 or more assists in 6 of his last 8 games and should be able to do so once more tonight. With Joel Embiid on the inside, there is likely to plenty of resistance whenever the guard drives into the paint, encouraging him to dish the ball out. With marksmen such as Eric Gordon on the perimeter and a big with the finishing ability of Alperen Sengun on the middle, Porter Jr. should not be let down by his teammates. I’ll back the over on his assists.

Mason Plumlee over 23.5 points + assists + rebounds (-115)

Charlotte Hornets center Mason Plumlee has hit the over in this line in 2 straight games, and tonight he should have a favorable opponent. He will be up against Ivica Zubac and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Croatian is unable to stretch the floor, allowing Plumlee to stay in the paint throughout the night. Zubac is also 6th in the league in offensive rebounds per game. That should ensure the Hornets cannot afford to go small tonight. With the center also being a key shot-blocker, Plumlee should have offensive rebounding opportunities too.  That should help secure his points. The Hornets center is a consistent passer and the assists are a nice bonus on this line.
