Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. There are 8 games on the NBA slate tonight with the leagues only undefeated team in action. The Milwaukee Bucks are taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home looking to extend their winning streak to 9 games. There is also a NBA TV double header which sees the New York Knick take on the Boston Celtics. That will be followed by clash at the top of the Western Conference between the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers.

You can find our full game previews here. But for now check out my player prop selections below.

Jalen Brunson over 5.5 assists (+100)

Jalen Brunson has fit in seamlessly into the New York Knicks as the team’s primary playmaker. He is leading the team in assists, averaging 6.9 per game. As a result, he has been able to hit the over on this line in 6 of his 8 games so far this season. He should be able to keep that going against the Boston Celtics tonight. His opponents have recently allowed Donovan Mitchel, Darius Garland and Bradley Beal to record 6 or more assists. Brunson should have the capability to join that list.

Brunson will have a tough matchup against Marcus Smart here which could cause the guard issues in getting his own shot off. With him more likely to pass the ball off here, it could benefit his assist numbers. The Knicks also have Mitchell Robinson available, who will have a size and athleticism advantage over Al Horford. That should provide Brunson with a constant lob threat that he could turn to. As a result, back the over on this line.

Rudy Gobert over 27.5 points + rebounds (-104)

The Houston Rockets should represent a favorable opponent for Rudy Gobert. The team is currently 22nd in the league in opponent rebounds per game, with the Frenchman likely being the main benefactor of this. His opponents are also 25th in opponent points in the paint, an area in which Gobert is limited to. With the Rockets bottom of the league in true shooting percentage and 8th in the league in pace, there should be no shortage of rebounding opportunities here.

His direct matchup here is likely to be Alperen Sengun. The Turkish center is only shooting 30% from beyond the arc which should allow Gobert to back off from him and remain in great rebounding position. Sengun is also not a great rim defender and will be giving up a size and length advantage to Gobert. That should allow the Timberwolves center to be a factor with offensive rebounds too, which should help inflate his stats tonight. Look for Gobert to put together a strong double-double here.
