Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA brings an 8-game NBA slate to us tonight. One of the more interesting matchups will be between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Both teams are in the top 3 in their respective conferences and will be looking to continue to close the gap to the top spot in the standings. We’ll have NBA picks on the side and total for each of tonight’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my 4 favorite player props for tonight’s action.

Jalen Suggs over 10.5 rebounds + assists (-104)

With Cole Anthony remaining out for the Orlando Magic, Jalen Suggs has stepped up as the team’s primary playmaker. It has led to an increase in playing time for the guard, surpassing the 30-minute mark in each of his last 5 games. Considering that Suggs is tall for a point guard, more playing time should lead to more rebounds for him. He has combined for 11 or more rebounds and assists in 6 of his last 7 games. That includes 13 in his last outing against this very same Indiana Pacers squad. With Myles Turner being an excellent shot blocker, look for Suggs to kick the ball out more often when he gets in the paint. That should help his assists numbers and the over hit.

C.J. McCollum over 2.5 threes made (+124)

CJ McCollum has found his scoring touch from beyond the arc of late. He has knocked down 14 of his last 29 attempts, hitting the over on this line in 3 straight contests. He was also able to knock down 3 shots from the perimeter in his last meeting against the Golden State Warriors. In his current form, he should be able to do the same once more. The Warriors should prove to be a good opponent as they rank 24th in opponent 3-point attempts per game and 21st in opponent 3-pointers made. With the pressure that the Pelicans’ bigs will be able to put on the Warriors in the paint, look for McCollum to make the most of the perimeter opportunities that are created.

Nikola Vucevic over 14.5 points (-120)

The Chicago Bulls center has enjoyed playing against the Boston Celtics this season. In 2 games so far, he has managed points totals of 18 and 24 respectively. The Celtics do have defensive talent on their roster, but most of those are concentrated on the wing with the likes of Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart. It will leave DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine with tough matchups, but that allows Vucevic to be used as a potential focal point of the Bulls’ offense. Vucevic will be going up against Al Horford, who he will have a size advantage over. It should allow him to get his shot off successfully while also being a factor on the offensive glass. He is averaging 14.8 points per game in November and should be able to exceed this against a favorable opponent.

Brook Lopez over 2.5 made threes (+146)

Brook Lopez of the Milwaukee Bucks has been on fire in November. He is knocking down 2.4 3-pointers per game on 41.5% shooting. He is also coming into this game after recently knocking down 7-of-9 attempts against the Cleveland Cavaliers. His matchup tonight will be Jusuf Nurkic. The Bosnian is a massive body in the paint, with the Bucks likely looking to use Lopez to force him to step out. With the size and post-up ability of Lopez, the Portland Trail Blazers will not be able to switch a smaller defender on him. As a result, look for Lopez to continue to get looks from the outside as Nurkic struggles to close out to him. That makes this a great value look.
