Show Bio

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. Last night each one of the player props I had picked out ended up cashing. Hopefully we can build on that tonight. The NBA has brought along a monster 10-game NBA slate on Wednesday with a ESPN double-header to boot. The first of the games will see the Dallas Mavericks take on the Philadelphia 76ers in a cross-conference matchup.

Check out the player prop I have picked out for that game below along with my other 3 selections. And take a look at the rest of our NBA predictions, too.

Luka Doncic, DAL, Over 7.5 assists (-115)

When facing the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the season, Luka Doncic was able to put together a 12-assist performance. Considering that he has managed 8 or more assists in 4 of his 5 games, it is hard to see a major dropoff from him tonight. With the presence of Joel Embiid in the paint, the Slovenian superstar could find it tougher to finish down low. Look for him to look for kick out opportunities as a result. With the Mavericks in the top 10 in the league in 3-point percentage over the last 10 games, his teammates look poised to convert these chances. Doncic should rack up the assists as a result.

Alperen Sengun, HOU, Over 22.5 points + rebounds (-102)

In his last game against the Brooklyn Nets, Alperen Sengun put together a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double. I am expecting another strong performance on Wednesday. Nic Claxton is the perfect opponent for him. Sengun has a bulk advantage and should be able to establish deep post position where he can utilize his soft touch. With Claxton 3rd in the league in blocks per game, he can be vulnerable to shot fakes. Luckily for the Rockets, Sengun has an extensive arsenal of post moves he can deploy and take advantage. With Claxton having terrible shooting range, the Turkish center will remain in the paint — collecting defensive rebounds through the night. Look for a strong line from him in both the point and rebound departments.

DeMar DeRozan, CHI, Over 22.5 points (-115)

DeMar DeRozan made 53.8% of his field-goal attempts when he last took on the Los Angeles Lakers. However, he finished with only 17-points as he attempted 13 shots. Playing at home tonight, look for him to get back to his aggressive self and closer to the near 18 field goals he attempts per game. Anthony Davis provides the Lakers with terrific rim protection, but there is little he can do to affect DeRozan in the mid range. The Bulls’ star has perfected that shot arguably better than anyone in the NBA and we should see it on full display here. He is making 43.2% of his 3-pointers this month, too, and has plenty of weapons with which he could punish the Lakers. I expect him to look for his shot tonight.

James Wiseman, DET, Over 13.5 points (-113)

James Wiseman has started to flash signs that he can deliver on his potential for the Detroit Pistons. Over his last 10 games he has scored 14 or more points on 8 occasions. Wiseman is averaging 15.3 points per game during that stretch. He will be up against another young center in Jaylin Williams tonight, with the Oklahoma City Thunder relatively undersized outside of him. Over the last 10 games Wiseman has been in averaging 3 offensive rebounds. With the Thunder giving up more offensive rebounds per game than any other team this season, the Pistons’ center should be able to use second chance points to pad his stat line tonight. The Pistons are all about development at this point of the season. Expect Wiseman to be heavily featured in their offense.
