Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The NBA conference semifinals continue on Wednesday night with 2 more Game 5s. Both can be seen live on TNT with the night opening with the Miami Heat’s trip to take on the New York Knicks. A loss would end the hosts’ season and the Golden State Warriors will be facing the same predicament against the Los Angeles Lakers. With one of the best home-court advantages however, they will be confident they can extend their series.

You can check out our NBA picks on the side and total for today’s games, but for now let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets for tonight.

Jalen Brunson over 25.5 points (-106)

With the Knicks on the brink of elimination, I expect them to turn to Jalen Brunson to keep their playoff hopes alive. The guard is averaging 26.8 points per game in this series and should see higher usage tonight given what is on the line. He has been more aggressive looking for his shot when playing in Madison Square Garden this season, with a jump in his field-goal attempts, 3-point percentage and points per game averages compared to on the road. The Heat are also lacking a defensive stopper in their backcourt, with Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and an aging Kyle Lowry seeing the majority of the minutes. Is should help to ensure that Brunson acts as a focal point for the Knicks offense. Look for a big scoring performance from the guard as a result.

Kyle Lowry over 3.5 rebounds (+108)

Kyle Lowry has played a major part in this series and one key way in which he has been contributing is through his rebounding ability. Through 4 games this series, he is averaging 4.3 rebounds per game. It has allowed him to hit the over on this line on 3 occasions. The Knicks have a couple of great offensive rebounding bigs in Mitchell Robinson and Isaiah Hartenstein. It should force the Heat guards to drop back and help on the boards and Lowry is very adept at doing that. He averaged 4.1 rebounds per game in the regular season and it is hard to see a drop-off from him tonight. The Heat have held the Knicks to 101 or fewer points in 3 of the 4 games, so there should be plenty of misses to chase down.

Draymond Green over 7.5 rebounds (+102)

Draymond Green has now recorded double-digit rebounds in 2 of the last 3 games of the series. In Game 4 the Warriors doubled down on a small-ball lineup, dropping JaMychal Green in favour of the smaller Gary Payton II. That put a further rebounding pressure on the smaller center. Look for that to continue to be the case. With Anthony Davis looking to attack inside the paint and refusing to step out to the perimeter, Green should be battling for boards throughout the night. Considering the hosts will be on the brink of elimination too, expect the Warriors veterans to step up. He saw a personal series-high of 37 minutes of playing time in Game 4 and should see something similar. With his role in the starting lineup, it should be enough time to grab 8 rebounds.

Anthony Davis over 41.5 points + rebounds + assists (-115)

In the last 2 games of the series, Anthony Davis has managed combined PRA totals of 40 and 41. With the Lakers having the Warriors on the brink of elimination, look for him to play a major role for the visitors. He has been a monster on the boards in this series, averaging 14.5 per game. In Game 1 he pulled down 23. Going up against bigs Draymond Green and Kevon Looney, who do not space the floor, should see him putting up big numbers once again.

Apart from a poor Game 2 showing, he has been consistently scoring at least 23 points per game. With what is on the line and his size advantage inside, he should be able to deliver once more. If the Warriors send help his way and force him to give up the ball, the assists provide a nice bit of insurance on the line.
