Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. The Philadelphia 76ers caused a huge upset in Game 1. Despite missing Joel Embiid, they picked up a road win over the Boston Celtics thanks to James Harden’s heroics. The 76ers superstar managed to drop 45 points and will be hoping to do the same tonight. If he can deliver, the 76ers could be returning home with a 2-0 series lead. Jayson Tatum and the rest of the Celtics will be doing their best to make sure that is not the case.

You can check out our NBA picks on the side and total for today’s games, but for now, let’s dive into my favorite NBA player prop bets for tonight.

You can bet on this NBA player prop with FanDuel, America’s #1 sportsbook, which has a great sign-up offer where you can get $150 in bonus bets following an initial wager of just $5! Click here to take advantage of this offer.

Jayson Tatum Over 3.5 made threes (+102)

Jayson Tatum has been locked in from beyond the arc this postseason. The Celtics superstar is making 38.5% of his attempts from there. It has allowed him to knock down 4 or more triples in in 5 of his last 6 games. That includes the 4 he made against the 76ers in Game 1. He attempted only 5 shots from deep in that game, which his lowest mark for this year’s playoffs so far. Expect him to get his attempts back closer to the 10 per game he managed in the series against the Atlanta Hawks.

There is a possibility that Joel Embiid will make his return tonight. His presence in the paint as a rim protector should encourage the hosts to focus on spacing the floor and Tatum will be a major part of that. P.J. Tucker is a strong on-ball defender too and should do a great job of keeping the Celtics superstar away from the paint. Look for that to convert to a great scoring night from the arc.

Al Horford Over 1.5 blocks (+170)

Al Horford has been terrific defensively in the playoffs. He is averaging 2.2 blocks per game and has recorded fewer than 2 in a game just twice in his 7 games so far. He was also able to record 3 blocks in the last game against the 76ers. The Celtics did a terrific job of slowing down Tyrese Maxey from the perimeter, keeping him to just 22% shooting from beyond the arc. Doing so again would encourage the 76ers’ guard to drive to the rim, where Horford would have the opportunity to come over as a help defender and impact shots. He is currently on a great blocking streak and seems a good value selection to keep that going.
