For this bet though, I love the ceiling: it can cash on a single made shot. Vassell has cleared this in 5 of his last 6 games and dropped 5 & 7 first-quarter points in both meetings with New York this season.
New York is going to obsess over slowing Wemby early, which should leave the rest of the Spurs in prime spots for clean looks.
San Antonio comes in battle-tested with zero rust after that seven-game war with OKC. Meanwhile, the Knicks haven’t played in over a week — that extra rest could easily turn into early sloppiness the Spurs can take advantage of.
