NBA Prop Bets Today: Chet Holmgren and Dylan Harper amongst best NBA Player Props for Saturday

Like most Lithuanians, I started watching basketball from the age of six. I'm based out in London and played basketball at the University of Lincoln here in the UK. I had always had an interest in the NBA but things really took off in the summer of 2010. That year Linas Kleiza led Lithuania to 3rd place at the World Championships and signed with the Toronto Raptors to replace the departing Chris Bosh. I've been a Raptors fan since that day and I've not missed a game since. I've been handicapping games for more than a decade, specializing in player props. When this series started all fans of basketball were hoping it would come down to this. Game 7 of the Western Conference finals will see the San Antonio Spurs visit the Oklahoma City Thunder, looking to deny the defending champions another trip to the NBA Finals. Having already won a game on the road in the series and coming into this after a dominant Game 6 performance, they will be confident they can get the job done once more.

You can find our NBA Playoff previews here. But first, take a look at my favorite player props for Game 7 below.

Chet Holmgren (OKC) under 0.5 made threes (+160)

The role of Chet Holmgren has shifted in this series, with more emphasis being placed on him being a threat on the offensive glass. Over the last 2 games he is averaging 3.5 offensive rebounds per game. With him crashing the boards, it has taken him away from the perimeter. In each of his last 3 games he has attempted just 1 3-pointer in each. He failed to connect on any of those shots. Overall in the series he has not knocked down a 3 in 4 of the 6 games and is shooting at just a 27.3% from beyond the arc. I expect him to stick to what has been working of late and not to try and rediscover his scoring touch in a crucial Game 7. The Thunder cannot afford to have him trying to shoot out of his slump tonight.

Dylan Harper (SA) under 0.5 steals (+150)

After his 7-steal performance in Game 1, Dylan Harper has gone completely cold in that category. He has failed to record a steal in any of the games since. That is over 110 minutes of playing time. The return of De’Aaron Fox has moved him to a bench role and limited his time on the floor with Victor Wembanyama, who is the main disruptive defensive presence on the Spurs roster. This is also a Thunder team who gave up the 4th fewest steals to opponents in the regular season and have maintained a similar mark in the playoffs. Harper has also not been used as the on ball defender for the Thunders primary ball handlers. It has taken away the opportunity for him to pick them off with on the ball pressure. Considering his recent form, him not to record a steal once more is terrific value here.
