This is a matchup that appears to be extremely lopsided on paper, but these primetime games on Sunday night rarely go quite as planned. In this case, the New York Giants are off to a 1-4 start and look absolutely dreadful. New York will make the short trip to take on the defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills, who are coming off a loss in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The handicap on this game seems to be a good buy-low spot on Giants, but that’s not what I’ll be focusing on in this piece.

Be sure to also check out our NFL Week 6 predictions, but now let’s take a look at my favorite anytime touchdown scorer picks for the Giants vs Bills game, where I’m targeting a pair of Bills wide receivers.

Stefon Diggs, WR, BUF (-120 at FanDuel)

While this isn’t a very original pick, it’s hard to go against Diggs in a matchup where he should absolutely feast against a weak Giants secondary. Diggs has been as good as any wideout in football this season, notching 520 receiving yards through the first 5 weeks. More importantly, Diggs’ connection with Josh Allen has been as strong as ever; he has racked up 5 touchdowns in as many weeks to go along with 39 receptions. Diggs is clearly the top target for Allen this season and he should get plenty of looks against a Giants secondary that has multiple injuries at corner and has allowed opposing wideouts to run wild as a result. Don’t overthink this one; we’ll take Diggs to find the end zone and eat the small bit of juice.

Gabe Davis, WR, BUF (+200 at FanDuel)

Typically I try to target a player from both teams to find the end zone. However, given the Giants are going to be extremely shorthanded, including missing quarterback Daniel Jones, it’s hard to find an option for New York. So if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Let’s back another Bills wideout to score at home. Gabe Davis had a fairly disappointing season a year ago, but he’s more than made up for it in 2023, hauling in a touchdown in 4 consecutive games while averaging over 20 yards per catch. Davis should have opportunities to haul in a few deep shots in this one against a depleted Giants secondary. Allen has shown a willingness to target Davis in the red zone, as well, so I’m comfortable riding with the hot hand in Buffalo.
