Hockey fans are being treated in a big way on Saturday. There are 13 games on tap, beginning at 12:30 pm ET and ending after midnight. A huge piece of intrigue will be seeing several players in new uniforms due to the flurry of trade activity earlier this week. It is always fun to see new faces on new teams and even more fun to watch the effect they have on the playoff picture. There are less than 20 games left for most teams, which means urgency finds a new peak every game. With such a big slate of games, it’s only right that we mark the day with an NHL mega parlay. We cashed our last NHL mega parlay on Thursday at +908 odds, so let’s make it 2 wins in a row! Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for today’s action.

NHL Parlay Picks (3/9)

Oilers -1.5 (+140)

Bruins -1.5 (+100)

Red Wings vs Golden Knights Over 6.5 (+110)

NHL parlay odds: +920

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Buffalo Sabres (+120)

The Oilers hit a small slump in February, but they look to be back to form as they have won 5 of their last 6 games. They have also won 4 of their last 5 games on the road. The Oilers have won their last 5 games by a combined 10 goals, which is a good sign for them covering the puck line in today’s game against the Sabres. The wins by 2+ goals for the most part have been the status quo for the Oilers since November. Of their 38 wins this season, Edmonton has won 26 games by 2+ goals. This is a dominant team in the stretch run of the regular season to the playoffs. They should be able to continue their multi-goal win trend against a Sabres team that is vulnerable right now.

Boston Bruins -1.5 over Pittsburgh Penguins (+132)

Things have been rough for the Penguins lately. They are 8 points out of a playoff spot with 3 teams to jump and just 20 games remaining. Pittsburgh also just dealt one of their top forwards, Jake Guentzel, so that they didn’t lose him for nothing in the offseason if he doesn’t re-sign. There is not a great feeling in that locker room right now. The Penguins have lost 5 of their last 6 games, most recently a hapless 6-0 loss at the hands of the Capitals. The Bruins are 3-1-1 in their last 5 games, which all came against very good teams. Boston is one of the best teams in the NHL that can capitalize on this Pittsburgh slump.

Detroit Red Wings vs Vegas Golden Knights Over 6.5 (+100)

High totals are nothing new to these teams. Detroit’s over/under record this season is 35-27-1, including 17-13 on the road. They rank 6th in the NHL in goals scored per game but 22nd in goals allowed per game. The combination of solid goal scoring and weaker goal prevention is a good recipe for an over. Meanwhile, the over has hit in 7 of Vegas’ last 8 games. Unfortunately for the Golden Knights, the over has been more due to allowing goals in bunches in a losing streak. The same can be said for the Red Wings lately. There is offensive prowess on both sides of this game, as well as poor form in goal prevention recently. This has the makings of a high-scoring game.
