Best player props for Wednesday's NHL slate: Patrick Kane hoping to extend his point streak

Feb 11, 2021; Chicago, Illinois, USA; Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane (88) celebrates his goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets during the third period at United Center.

There are only three games for Wednesday’s NHL slate. There’s not a lot of value on the board today, so we’re going to take a deeper dive into one player prop that we think will provide good value and will have a great chance of hitting. Games are starting a little later tonight with the first game starting at 9:00 pm ET and the final game of the night is starting at 10:30 pm ET.

Patrick Kane over 1.5 points (+140)

Despite the Blackhawks’ early struggles, they’ve strung together a three game win streak in large part to Patrick Kane who’s on a three game point streak. Kane is still one of the best players in the world, and despite the lack of support surrounding him he seems to get better every year. +140 to record over 1.5 points is great value for Kane tonight, especially considering his opponent, the Kraken. Seattle is allowing the second most goals per game with 3.67 and have allowed four or more goals in their last four games. They’ve been on a bit of a downward spiral as of late, and they don’t have any great defensive forwards to cover Kane over the course of the game. Kane has averaged more than 23 minutes in his last three games and is currently averaging 4:51 minutes on the powerplay. Seattle is averaging more than five minor penalties a night. It’ll be very difficult for the Kraken to defend him all night.

In 11 games played this season, Kane has had a multi-point game five times. He has a long way to go if he expects to drag the Blackhawks to the playoff, but extending his point streak to four games and the Hawks’ win streak to four games is a good way to start; one game at a time. Take Kane to record 1.5 points tonight, especially against a weaker opponent two points tonight could be inevitable.
