Champions League soccer predictions and UCL best bets for Wednesday 10/25: Newcastle knock off Borussia Dortmund

Eddie Howe has saluted Callum Wilson’s “brilliant mentality” as he waits to see whether his latest battle to return from adversity will be rewarded with a World Cup call-up. The 30-year-old striker is back in the Newcastle team and among the goals after a six-week lay-off with a hamstring injury.

The Champions League group-stage action continues on Wednesday with a huge slate of 8 games to sink our teeth into. Defending champions Manchester City are in action, but it is their compatriots Newcastle whose game we will be targeting as part of our best bets. The likes of PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and AC Milan are also lacing up their boots on what should be a great afternoon of soccer. Below, you can find out our 2 best bets of the day. Make sure you also check out our soccer predictions for the rest of the day’s action, as well as our picks for the MLS playoffs.

Newcastle vs Borussia Dortmund best bet: Newcastle ML (-140)

Borussia Dortmund have a lot of work to do in a tough Champions League Group F, having failed to score in their opening 2 games against PSG and AC Milan and picking up just 1 point from those games. This is another tough game against a rampant Newcastle team that cruised past Crystal Palace 4-0 in the EPL on Saturday and posted a 4-1 Champions League win over PSG in this competition. The Magpies look likely winners and are worth betting on to do just that.

PSG vs AC Milan best bet: One or both teams not to score (+125)

Paris Saint-Germain were beaten 4-1 by Newcastle in their last Champions League game and will be hoping to bounce back from that dismal effort at home to AC Milan on Wednesday. The Italian club has tied both of its Group F games so far and could prove to be sturdy opposition once again. Both teams to score has cashed in only 1 of Milan’s last 7 games and that run may continue here, with there being clear value at plus-money odds.
