The 2023-24 UEFA Champions League group stage continues on Wednesday afternoon with another 8 soccer matches as the elimination stage gets nearer.

Some groups are already, settled with Real Sociedad and Inter Milan set to progress from Group D, but only Bayern Munich, in Group A, has already secured 1st place going into the final 2 group slates.

We’ve picked out our two favorite plays of the day for Wednesday, which both kick off at 3:00 pm ET. You can also read our soccer predictions for even more Champions League picks.

Real Madrid vs Napoli best bet: Real Madrid ML (-115)

Real Madrid is a perfect 4 from 4 in this season’s Champions League and has also won its their last 3 meetings with Napoli, scoring 3 goals on each occasion but also allowing at least 1 goal. Napoli will take heart from having scored in 8 of its 9 road games this season, but Real Madrid has scored in 17 of its 18 games this season. The home team should be able to come out on top and win this game, even though a tie would be enough for the Spanish club to clinch 1st place in Group C.

Benfica vs Inter Milan best bet: Inter Milan ML (+190)

Inter Milan won at Benfica on its way to the Champions League final last season, and the Portuguese club looks to be weaker this time around. The Eagles have lost their last 4 games, scoring only once and they look to be headed for another loss on Wednesday. Inter has won 5 of its last 7 games in the Champions League while Benfica has lost 3 straight Champions League home games in shutouts.
