The weekend will be here before we know it and that means Selection Sunday is on the immediate horizon. That’s right; by the time this week concludes, we will know the field of 64 (or 68 if you count the First Four). There is still some sorting to do, and Friday’s festivities will go a long way in that effort. A whole host of conference tournament action is on the schedule, from some of the top teams in the nation all the way down to programs who would be a #16 seed if they cut down the nets in their respective conferences. Let’s take a look at my 3-team college basketball mega parlay for Friday. And let’s make it 2 in a row after cashing our +752 play on Thursday!

Michigan State -3.5 (-110)

Arkansas +1 (-110)

Marquette ML (+150)

NCAAB Parlay odds: +811

For this parlay, we are going with 1 favorite against the spread, 1 underdog plus the points and 1 underdog on the money line. Here is a breakdown of each leg.

Michigan State -3.5 over Ohio State (-110)

Michigan State won both regular-season games against Ohio State. In the first meeting, the Spartans held the Buckeyes to a mere 41 points and dominated on the road. In the rematch at home, Michigan State went on a 15-0 run almost right away and never looked back. From a matchup perspective, Michigan State should be able to score early and often with pick-and-rolls. According to Synergy, the Spartans rank in the 90th percentile in pick-and-roll offense. Is it really that hard to beat the same team 3 times in the same season? When 1 side is clearly better, probably not!

Arkansas +1 over Texas A&M (-110)

With a double-bye and playing in a conference tournament that does not end until Sunday, Texas A&M has not even played a single game this week. Being rested is all well and good, but it’s not necessarily ideal. Arkansas has a game under its belt at the SEC Tournament and picked up some momentum by scraping past Auburn on Thursday. These 2 teams split the regular-season series, each winning on their home court. What’s notable is that Nick Smith Jr. played only 4 minutes in the Razorbacks’ loss. I think the Hogs are the better team with Smith on the floor and they should prove it in the quarterfinals.

Marquette ML over UConn (+150)

Marquette was my pre-tournament pick to cut down the nets at Madison Square Garden. The Golden Eagles were the Big East regular-season champions and are being disrespected in the futures market as well as in this particular game. Head coach Shaka Smart’s team went 17-3 in the conference and extended its winning streak to 7 games by beating St. John’s 72-70 in overtime on Thursday. Is that a great result? No. But March is all about surviving and advancing and that could be a beneficial wake-up call for the Golden Eagles. UConn is also hot, but as a considerable underdog there is great value on Marquette’s money line.
