We have a bit of a lull in between Tuesday’s Champions Classic and busy weekend schedule of college basketball, but you can easily spice up Thursday’s slate by putting together a few plays into a potentially lucrative parlay. No matter how small or uninteresting the lineup, there are always betting opportunities. Here is today’s mega parlay.

George Washington vs Maryland under 137.5 (-110)

TCU -21.5 (-110)

Arizona State to win by 6-10 points (+350)

Parlay odds: +1533

For this parlay we are going with one favorite against the spread, an under play, and an exact winning margin. Let’s break down each of the legs.

George Washington vs Maryland under 137.5 (-110)

Both Maryland and George Washington are armed with a fair amount of transfer players, so it may take a while for each one to gel. Like a typical Big Ten team, the Terrapins have showcased stellar defense over the past few seasons. Based on their personnel there is no reason to think anything will change in 2021-22. The Terps always recruit elite athletes and they are not shy about letting them loose defensively, kind of like their former ACC rival Florida State. I think they are going to make it very tough for George Washington to get easy buckets. Against a respectable Atlantic 10 foe, Maryland is more likely to play its core guys a lot more than it did in the season opener. That means fewer easy points for the Colonials. Take the under.

TCU -21.5 over McNeese (-110)

Last season, the Cowboys struggled to a disappointing 10-14 overall record, which left them in the bottom tier of the Southland Conference standings. Statistically, they ranked as one of the worst teams in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency (per KemPom). More of the same continued in their 2021-22 season opener. McNeese traveled to SMU on Tuesday night, losing 86-62. For TCU, sophomore Mike Miles is back and he is featured on the Big 12’s preseason honorable mention list voted on by the coaches. The Texas native is a potential breakout star this year after averaging 13.6 points per game and shooting 41.3% from the field in 2020-21. The Horned Frogs lost some key players this past offseason but they are bringing back one of the best young players in their league.

Arizona State to win by 6-10 points over UC Riverside (+350)

The Sun Devils are coming off a 76-60 victory over Portland in their opener on Tuesday. They were tenacious on the defensive end, forcing 21 total turnovers and holding the Pilots to 40.7% shooting from the field and 25% from three. UC Riverside Highlanders fell 66-53 to San Diego State earlier this week. The Highlanders competed and maintained within striking distance into the second half, but their poor shooting in the later stages of the game ultimately resulted in a double-digit defeat. This looks like a relatively routine win for Arizona State, but it may not be a complete blowout. The Sun Devils probably won’t score enough to completely run away from the Highlanders, who could get the margin down to 10 or slightly less with some garbage-time baskets if necessary.
