It’s a loaded Wednesday slate in college basketball as programs big and small are taking the court for another jam-packed day of hoops. With so many exciting games, I’ve combed through the board and found a few edges that I believe can create a parlay with an excellent payout of better than 8/1 odds!
Let’s take a look at my 3-team mega parlay for Wednesday, but make sure you also check out our college basketball picks for the day’s biggest games.

South Florida Bulls +6 (-110) vs Temple Owls
This is one of my favorite situational spots of the day, as it catches a Temple team fresh off a monumental win over the then-#1 Houston Cougars on Sunday. The Owls certainly should celebrate one of the biggest wins in program history, especially since it was on the road. However, it would now be fair to infer that this Temple team is riding a bit high and could be ill-prepared for a matchup against a South Florida side that is better than its record suggests. While the Bulls are just 2-5 in AAC play, four of those losses came by single-digits, including losses at Houston and Memphis, plus a 4-point defeat to Temple. South Florida just played one of its better games of the year in knocking off UCF last Saturday, and I expect that momentum to carry over into this one.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons ML (+130) over Pittsburgh Panthers
The ACC has been a difficult conference to figure out this season, especially once you get past the obvious contenders at the top. Virginia has looked like a defensive juggernaut all season long and while Clemson is clearly playing above its head, the Tigers have still built an impressive resume. That leaves teams like Wake Forest and Pittsburgh to quietly keep winning games and build up an NCAA tournament profile. The difference between these teams is on offense, as the Demon Deacons have the far superior unit on that end of the floor — sitting at 20th in adjusted offensive efficiency per Barttorvik. On the other side, Pittsburgh’s offense is below average from the 3-point line and its defense doesn’t force nearly enough turnovers to slow down this Wake attack. I think the Demon Deacons are the better side, so I’ll gladly take them at plus money.

Nebraska Cornhuskers ML (+110) over Northwestern Wildcats
Nebraska has proven to be an extremely high-variance team this season, but backing the Cornhuskers as home underdogs is usually a good option. This is when you want to bet on head coach Fred Hoiberg’s team; Nebraska is 7-2 against the spread at home this season, including a recent victory over Ohio State. On top of that, Northwestern enters this game fresh off a massive home win over Wisconsin in a game that certainly straightened the Wildcats’ NCAA tournament resume. Nebraska’s strength is its defense, sitting at 35th in adjusted defensive efficiency per KenPom. That bodes well against a Wildcats team that is 135th in offensive efficiency at Barttorvik and 117th in that same metric per KenPom. In what should be a low scoring affair with limited possessions, I love backing a home ‘dog in this spot.
