A whole host of Power 5 programs are taking the court in college basketball on Wednesday. Among them are Baylor, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Boston College, Vanderbilt, and Florida State. A Boston College upset is part of this 3-team mega parlay along with big wins for the Commodores and Seminoles.

Boston College ML (+205)

Vanderbilt to win by 11+ (+210)

Florida State -18 (-110)

Parlay odds: +1696

For this parlay we are going with two favorites against the spread (one on an alternate spread) and one underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Boston College ML over Rhode Island (+205)

Boston College is 3-0 (2-1 ATS) after hosting a number of smaller northeast schools. This is the Eagles’ first road game of the season, but they are still not venturing too far away from home. They are surrendering only 58 points per game so far. That will rise against tougher competition (such as in ACC play) but for now new head coach Earl Grant is looking good. Rhode Island also has a perfect record to start the season (2-0). The Rams lost lead guard Fatts Russell to Maryland, which obviously hurts even though they return plenty of talent. But this is their first real test without Russell against a stout defense, so some struggles on Wednesday would not be surprising.

Vanderbilt to win by 11+ over VCU (+210)

VCU comes into this one with a 1-1 record after losing 58-44 to Wagner last weekend. The Rams struggled offensively all game, shooting just 27.3% from the 3-point line. Senior guard Keshawn Curry was the lone VCU player in double figures, as he finished with 12 points with a trio of threes. Vanderbilt has opened the season 2-0 following victories over Alabama State and Texas State on its home court. Scottie Pippen Jr. knocked in 4 threes and led the team in scoring with 30 points against Texas State. Can VCU keep up with Pippen and company? Early returns suggest that may not be the case. The Rams could not keep their game close against a Wagner team that is much worse than Vandy.

Florida State -18 over Tulane (-110)

Tulane has split its first 2 games, failing to cover in either as a favorite. Neither was against quality competition, so it is hard to have much hope for the Green Wave rising up in this spot on Wednesday. They have some size but nothing close to what Florida State can put out there. FSU is 1-1 with a victory over Penn and a loss to Florida. The Seminoles are looking to replace a number of key performers from last year’s team, including No. 4 overall NBA Draft pick Scottie Barnes. Senior Malik Osborne has assumed the early role of leading scorer at 18 ppg. Head coach Leonard Hamilton’s crew remains wildly talented and should probably handle Tulane by at least 20.
