Eleven weeks into the 2021 college football season, Georgia is far and away the best team in the nation. The Bulldogs are locks for the College Football Playoff if they take care of business as heavy favorites against Charleston Southern and Georgia Tech in their last 2 regular-season games, regardless of what happens in the SEC Championship. Who will join them in the national semi-finals? Oregon has chance, but the Ducks have a tough test on their hands this weekend – and they are one of my teaser picks.

We have free picks on the side and total for all of the big games, which you can view in our NCAAF picks tab. Make sure to also catch up on all our analysis articles in our college football news section. For now we are talking about teasers, and for these we are shifting lines by 6 points. Let’s dive right into the best ones for Week 12.

Washington -0.5 (6-point tease from -6.5) over Colorado

The Washington Huskies seem to have turned things around since losing to Montana in Week 1 and Michigan in Week 2. Since then they are 4-4 and their average margin of defeat is 6.3 points. Still, Washington fired head coach Jimmy Lake prior to this game; will the Huskies rally for interim Bob Gregory or give up on the season? We say they rally, at least to the extent that a win over the lowly Colorado Buffaloes can be achieved. And that’s all that has to happen when you tease the spread down through the key numbers of 6 and 3 all the way to -0.5. The Buffaloes are 3-7 with only 2 conference wins this year. Washington will look to win this one and also its last game to become bowl-eligible, while Colorado will look to play spoiler. The Buffs probably won’t be able to do it.

BYU -13.5 (6-point tease from -19.5) over Georgia Southern

For just the fourth time this season, the BYU Cougars will have a road matchup when they play the Georgia Southern Eagles on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles are coming off just their third win of the season last weekend but they still gave up 30 points. Bad defensive play has been a theme all too often this year for GSU, as it has allowed at least 27 points in every game but one. The Eagles possess a strong rushing attack but are throwing for just over 153 yards per game (122nd in FBS). BYU came away victorious yet again last weekend and is now riding a 3-game winning streak. The Cougars feature an extremely balanced offensive attack that has scored 125 total points in the last 2 games. Outside of their game against Virginia, the Cougars’ defense has really held its own this season with only one other opponent (Baylor) scoring more than 27 points. BYU played a similar team their last time out in Idaho State and absolutely manhandled them. Needing the Cougars to win by just 2 touchdowns after teasing the spread through the key numbers of 17 and 14 seems like a borderline lock.

Oregon +9 (6-point tease from +3) over Utah

Both the Oregon Ducks and Utah Utes are playing some of their best football at this point in the season. Oregon continues to surpass preseason expectations, but the lofty goals that the Ducks are striving to achieve will be put to the test this Saturday. They have found their footing offensively within the last month and seem to be overcoming the injuries to CJ Verdell thanks to the contributions of Travis Dye out of the backfield. What has allowed Oregon to roll through the Pac-12 to this point is the Ducks’ continued domination of their opponents in the trenches. These are clearly the best teams in the conference, so a 6-point tease could come in handy for the Ducks. Moving it from the key number of 3 through 6 and 7 all the way to 9 is a great plan.
