Congratulations, sports fans; the first major sports equinox of the year and the 25th in history is upon us. Yes, the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB all have at least one game being played today. In addition to the NBA and NHL seasons getting underway, we have Thursday Night Football between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns plus Game 5 of the NLCS between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers.

Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Thursday.

NFL: Denver Broncos ML over Cleveland Browns

Although the Broncos are getting most of the money in Thursday’s game, there is not much of a consensus overall. They are bringing in 69 percent of the handle on the +110 money line and 58 percent of it on the +2 point spread. However, the Browns are being backed by an almost-event 49 percent of the wagers against the spread and 59 percent of them on the -130 money line. As those numbers indicate, bigger bets are being put on Denver while higher-volume, lower-risk plays are being made on Cleveland.

Bettors are also conflicted on Game 5 between Atlanta and Los Angeles. The Braves on the +120 money line are encouraging 75 percent of the handle and 53 percent of the wagers. On the other hand, when it comes to the run line 61 percent of the money and 52 percent of the wagers are going toward L.A. -1.5. There is only agreement on the game totals; Over 8 in inspiring 87 percent of the handle and 69 percent of the bets.

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks -2.5 over Miami Heat

In the NBA, punters’ favorite play of the day is on the defending champion Bucks in their road date with the Heat. Milwaukee on the -2.5 point spread is drawing 92 percent of the money and 85 percent of the bets. The public is also happy to incur -140 juice on the Bucks’ money line. Giannis Antetokounmpo and company are being backed by 85 percent of the handle and 80 percent of the wagers to win straight up.

NHL: Washington Capitals ML over New Jersey Devils

Bettors have a ton of NHL games to work with on Thursday; 10, to be exact. They are throwing a lot of their money toward the Capitals, who are paying a visit to the Devils. Washington on the -130 money line is inspiring 93 percent of the wagers and 87 percent of the bets. The public is not quite as enthused about giving the -1.5 goals, as the Caps are bringing in just 49 percent of those plays. However, that amounts to 75 percent of the money—which means there are some substantial plays on the visitors winning by multiple goals.

NCAAF: SMU -14 over Tulane

With SMU being undefeated, it is no surprise that the public is hammering the Mustangs as they prepare to host Tulane on Thursday night. SMU on the -14 point spread is drawing 93 percent of the money and 90 percent of the wagers. Punters aren’t scared by the -600 juice on the money line, either. They are putting 96 percent of their bets on the Mustangs to win straight up and 86 percent of the handle is going in the same direction.
