Holiday season is one of the best times for sports, and Thanksgiving Day gets it all started with a three-game NFL slate in addition to some college football action. There is an embarrassment of riches – which will hopefully be the case for your Thanksgiving dinner table, too.

Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far on Thanksgiving Day.

NFL: Buffalo Bills -6.5 over New Orleans Saints

The traditional three-game Thanksgiving NFL slate has arrived, so it’s time to look ahead and see which teams punters are supporting. In the nightcap, Buffalo on the -6.5 point spread at New Orleans is drawing 79 percent of the money and 78 percent of the wagers. The public is similarly enthused about backing a straight up win and incurring -235 juice. The Bills are inspiring 84 percent of the handle and 81 percent of the money line bets.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys -7.5 over Las Vegas Raiders

Bettors also like the Cowboys on Thursday. In the late afternoon contest, Dallas is drawing 75 percent of the money and 61 percent of the wagers to cover a -7.5 spread against the visiting Raiders. Although money line payout is not high (-335) on head coach Mike McCarthy’s squad, the public is still happy to throw its money in that direction. A straight up win for the home team is being backed by 75 percent of the handle and 80 percent of the bets.

NFL: Tony Pollard Over 36.5 rushing yards

The most popular player prop bet for Thursday’s schedule is on Pollard to surpass 36.5 rushing yards (-110). Ezekiel Elliott will play, but he has been hobbled by a knee issue but has not racked up more than 51 yards on no more than 16 carries in any of the last four contests. Pollard’s numbers on the ground in the past two outings are 42 yards and 52 yards. Las Vegas in 29th in the NFL against the run.

College football: Ole Miss +105 over Mississippi State

The Egg Bowl has given us some legendary moments on Thanksgiving Day in the past. What will it provide this time around? For one thing, punters are hoping for an Ole Miss win. On the +105 money line, the Rebels are getting 86 percent of the handle and 83 percent of the bets. Even with a sizable game total of 62, the public is also inclined to make over plays. The over is drawing 59 percent of the money and 79 percent of the bets.

College football: Fresno State vs San Jose State Over 51.5

The public always likes a good over bet and they love the over in this Fresno State vs San Jose State game even more than the Egg Bowl. Over 51.5 is inspiring 98 percent of the handle and 78 percent of the wagers. Fresno State is also brining in most of the betting slips. The Bulldogs are getting 76 percent of the wagers to cover the -7 spread and they are seeing 86 percent of the wagers to go along with 83 percent of the handle on the -290 money line.
