We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Thursday, including picks from the NFL preseason and MLB. Three picks are taken from the MLB with one pick from the NFL Preseason. A winning ticket would give us a nice payout with odds of +763 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these plays.

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays ML (-175) over Los Angeles Angels, 1:10 pm ET

Projected starters are left-hander Patrick Sandoval for the Angels and right-hander Drew Rasmussen for the Rays. Sandoval is 4-8 in 20 starts with an ERA of 3.14. The concern with Sandoval is his inconsistent performance, not knowing which version you will get. Sandoval ended July with an ERA of 6.20 but now holds an ERA of 0.93 in the 3 starts in August.

On the other side, Rasmussen is 8-4 in 21 starts with an ERA of 2.82. Rasmussen has been on his game lately, posting an ERA of 2.33 in his last 7 starts. Offensively, the Rays have the advantage as the Angels rank in the bottom 3 in most major offensive categories in the last 15 days. The Rays are better and need the wins more.

MLB: Cleveland Guardians ML (-115) over Seattle Mariners, 4:10 pm ET

Triston McKenzie will start for the Cleveland Guardians and has been much better since the all-star break. In 40.1 innings since mid-July, McKenzie has an ERA of 2.90. He’s also coming off one of the best outings of his career as he allowed 2 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings to the White Sox while recording a career-high 14 strikeouts. He also faced the Astros and Blue Jays in August and allowed just 2 runs and 7 hits in 14.2 innings against those 2 powerful lineups.

For the Seattle Mariners, Marco Gonzales continues to be a borderline Major League pitcher. Through 134.2 innings, Gonzalez has an ERA of 4.08, but has been even worse in the second half of the season. Since the all-star break, the lefty has an ERA of 5.77 through 34.1 innings. The southpaw has also allowed the 2nd most hits, doubles and total bases in the American League this season. The Mariners might have the better offense on paper, but the Guardians have the pitching advantage and the far better bullpen. For that reason, the Guardians look to be worth a play.

MLB: New York Mets -1.5 (-175) over Colorado Rockies, 7:10 pm ET

Jacob deGrom will make the start for the Mets on Thursday night and he has been his dominant self since his return. He has struck out 12, 10, and 9 batters over his last 3 starts, and has been able to pitch deeper into the game with each one. Those numbers should only improve with his history against the Rockies. deGrom has dominated them, with a 5-1 record and an incredible 1.17 ERA.

Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela recently tore his ACL, forcing rookie Ryan Feltner to duel deGrom in this game. With the Mets out to make up for their last 2 games, he may not be out there for long — making New York worth a play on the run line.

NFL Preseason: San Francisco 49ers vs Houston Texans – Under 41.5 runs (-115), 8:15 pm ET

After Week 1 of the preseason was littered with overs, that quickly evened out with plenty of unders in Week 2. That was the case for the 49ers, going from a total of 49 to 24 between the first 2 games. That trend should continue with the 3-game preseason.

Offensively, neither Elijah Mitchell nor Jeff Wilson Jr. has seen the field this preseason, as the 49ers want to see what they have in Trey Sermon. However, he had a whopping 19 yards on 11 carries in 2 games. The 49ers even recently cut a receiver to make room for a safety and allowed just a single touchdown last week. There is just not enough offensive depth with these teams to warrant the 2nd-highest total on the board, therefore backing the under will be the play.
