MLB pick today: Kansas City Royals vs Minnesota Twins – Under 7.5 runs (-108), 4:10 pm ET

The pitching matchup for this afternoon is Jordan Lyles versus Pablo Lopez. Lyles has not been great this year, but he faced Minnesota in his first outing and held them to 2 runs in 5.1 innings.

Lopez, on the other hand, had 4 good starts before a clunker last week and he held the Royals scoreless through 5.1 innings earlier this season. Between the weather and a couple of pitchers who have had success against the opponent already this season, backing the under will be the play.

NHL pick today: Boston Bruins ML over Florida Panthers (-178), 7:35 pm ET

When this series shifted to Florida for Game 3, the Bruins came away with a 4-2 victory and followed that up with a dominant 6-2 win in Game 4. A lot has been discussed in terms of their dominance at home this season, and rightfully so, but they also had the best road record at 31-8-2. I’m expecting a stronger night from David Pastrnak that ultimately leads the Bruins to a series win.

NHL pick today: Colorado Avalanche ML over Seattle Kraken (-162), 10:08 pm ET

The Avalanche find themselves in an interesting spot. Captain Nathan MacKinnon had a great Game 5, producing a goal and an assist, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Kraken. The Avalanche were without star defenseman Cale Makar, but that’s no excuse for a veteran team like the Avalanche. Even though they are going back to Seattle for Game 6, backing the Avalanche to win and force a Game 7 will be our play as they get Makar back in the lineup.

NBA pick today: Los Angeles Lakers -4.5 over Memphis Grizzlies (-108), 10:30 pm ET

After failing to close out the series in Game 5, the Los Angeles Lakers will get the chance to finish the job tonight on their home floor. This postseason the Grizzlies have ranked dead last in true shooting percentage and are 12th in rebounding percentage. On top of that, the Lakers are outscoring them in second-chance points per game. With LeBron James looking to have a bounce back game, backing the Lakers to win and cover is the play.
